Power & Control Electrical Panels

Power and control panels are designed and manufactured to control electric heaters in modulating and on/off control modes, in order to achieve the power and heat input requirements for the application. Our panels include all the electrical features and protections required to safely operate electrical heaters in a nuclear power installations.

Unit Heaters

Our electric space heaters are designed and manufactured to comply with the most stringent requirements in a nuclear power plant installation. CCI Thermal Technologies has a standard and custom line of products that support space heating requirements for environmental or process heating. Unit heaters have a specify application in environmental room temperature control.

Duct Heaters

Duct heaters are specifically designed to match the customer specifications and they are qualified and tested to meet the most demanding requirements. Duct heaters are commonly used to heat air and/or gas process streams in process heating or environmental room applications. Applications include: humidity control, machinery pre-heating, HVAC comfort heating.

Circulation Heaters

Circulation heaters are the equivalent to tube and shell heat exchangers with the particular feature that the core bundle is manufactured with electric tubular heating elements. Circulation heaters are used in applications where a process stream needs to be heated to a finely controlled set-point. Typical applications include: air/gas superheating, oil pre-heating, steam superheating, fuel pre-heating and others. Circulation heaters are designed and manufactured in accordance with ASME Section III, Class 1, 2 or 3 and stamped N according to code requirements. Immersion heaters also are designed and manufactured under ASME Section VIII, Div 1 for non nuclear code applications.

Immersion Heaters

Electric immersion heaters are commonly used in tank and pressure vessel heating applications, where there is a requirement to maintain liquid temperature to a certain controlled set point. Typical applications include: antifreeze protection on refueling water storage tanks, oil tanks, fuel-oil tanks, diesel tanks, water tanks, vaporizing vessels and others. Immersion heaters are designed and manufactured in accordance with ASME Section III, Class 1, 2 or 3 and stamped NPT according to code requirements. Immersion heaters also are designed and manufactured under ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 for non nuclear code applications.

Pressurizer Heaters

Electric pressurizer heaters are used to control the pressure in the pressurizer vessel of PWR and PHWR reactors. These heaters are directly installed in the pressurizer vessel and they are electrically powered to provide the heat input required to maintain pressure control during transient conditions. The pressurizer heaters are designed and manufactured in accordance with ASME Section III, Class 1 and stamped NPT according to Code requirements.
