What's characteristic about HLP is its unique heating coil construction. This cartridge heater features a heating coil wrapped around a specially-selected ceramic core which is located close to the walls of the heater pipe. Its circumference is lined with extremely pure MgO (magnesia) for insulation, which is exceptional for its thermal conduction and insulation resistance at high temperatures.
