Tryclops X – Purge Controller XP

The TRYCLOPS X - Purge Controller is certified for use in Division 1 and / or Zone 1 hazardous areas. The TRYCLOPS X - Purge Controller monitors purge pressure, exhaust vent flow, and controls electrical power and pre dilution purge time for one (1), two (2) or three (3) pressurized enclosures. The TRYCLOPS X - Purge Controller provides local and remote objective evidence of the presence of positive purge pressure within the electrical equipment enclosure(s) and enclosure's exhaust port flow. When the monitored enclosure(s) registers a pressure of at least 0.30 inches of water column (0.75mbar) above the referenced atmospheric pressure surrounding the enclosure(s) being monitored and the exhaust port(s) is registering satisfactory flow, TRYCLOPS's local green LED indicator will begin flashing. An automatic dilution purge controlled time delay may then begin. The time delay can be set from one (1) to ninety nine (99) minutes, which is set by the customer to allow at least five (5) times the volume of free space in the enclosure to be exchanged before power is automatically applied by the TRYCLOPS X - Purge Controller to the electronic equipment within the enclosure(s) the TRYCLOPS is monitoring. After the automatic dilution purge time has elapsed, the local green LED indicator will stop flashing and go into a continuous green state. Indicating that the monitored enclosure(s) pressure is being maintained above 0.30 inches of water column (0.75mbar) and enclosure exhaust port(s) is registering satisfactory flow. Up to 12.5 Amps of power will then be automatically applied by the TRYCLOPS X - Purge Controller, eliminating the need for an additional explosion proof enclosure with a solid-state relay.

The CYCLOPS X - Purge Controller is certified for use in Zone 1 hazardous areas, which monitors purge pressure, exhaust vent flow, and controls electrical power and pre dilution purge time of one (1) pressurized enclosure. The CYCLOPS X - Purge Controller provides local and remote objective evidence of the presence of positive purge pressure within the electrical equipment enclosure and enclosure's exhaust port flow. When the monitored enclosure registers a pressure of at least 0.30 inches of water column (0.75mbar) above the referenced atmospheric pressure surrounding the enclosure being monitored and the exhaust port is registering satisfactory flow, CYCLOPS's local green LED indicator will begin flashing. An automatic dilution purge controlled time delay may then begin. Cyclops Y – Purge Indicator

The CYCLOPS Y - Purge Indicator for use in Division 1 and / or Zone 1 hazardous areas, which monitors purge pressure in one (1) pressurized enclosure. Type "Y" purging reduces the classification within a protected enclosure from Division 1 and / or Zone 1 to Division 2 and / or Zone 2. Requiring all equipment in the protected enclosure to be approved for Division 2 and / or Zone 2 hazardous area locations. For Y type purging; failure to maintain pressure within the protected enclosure is detected locally by a green LED visual indicator and for required remote monitoring a dry contact is standard on the CYCLOPS Y - Purge Indicator. The dilution purge time is a manual operation and once the enclosure has been purged of ignitable or flammable concentrations, only positive pressure is required to be maintained within the enclosure and it is not necessary to remove power from the protected equipment upon the loss of purge pressure. The enclosure exhaust vent is an integrated part of the CYCLOPS Y - Purge Indicator casing, which comes standard in anodized aluminum and as an option in 316 stainless steel, with voltage options in 12 or 24 VDC. The CYCLOPS Y - Purge Indicator mounts directly to the enclosure being purged. This means no additional holes, sheet metal, or plumbing is required for installation of the CYCLOPS Y - Purge Indicator.

Cyclops Z – Purge Indicator

The CYCLOPS Z - Purge Indicator for use in Division 2 and / or Zone 2 hazardous areas, which monitors purge pressure in one (1) pressurized enclosure. Type "Z" purging reduces the classification within a protected enclosure from Division 2 and / or Zone 2 to non-hazardous. For Z type purging; failure to maintain pressure within the protected enclosure is detected locally by a green LED visual indicator and for remote monitoring a dry contact is standard on the CYCLOPS Z - Purge Indicator. The dilution purge time is a manual operation and once the enclosure has been purged of ignitable or flammable concentrations, only positive pressure is required to be maintained within the enclosure and it is not necessary to remove power from the protected equipment upon the loss of purge pressure.
